The Sarnia Sturgeons’ junior varsity team is tied for first place in the Ontario Football Conference’s West Division with a 6-1 record.

The Sturgeons beat the Brantford Bisons 59-28 on Sunday at Norm Perry Park.

They share the top spot with the Chatham-Kent Cougars and Sault Sabercats.

The Sturgeons will play their regular-season finale this Sunday in London against the Forest City Thunderbirds.

The Bantam Sturgeons clinched first place in the West Division by beating the Oakville Titans 47-6 on Sunday at Norm Perry Park.

The Sturgeons (7-1) have a bye for the final week of the regular season.
